Performance Company

The BSD Performance Company is a new, audition-based opportunity for dancers who want to take their training and experience to the next level. Designed for dancers in training, with mentorship opportunities for younger students, the Company offers access to high-profile performance experiences in professional venues.

Our aim is to help dancers apply their studio training to the real dance world, gaining valuable experience that can support future success in the industry.

Joining the Company will not only deepen your performance skills but also provide professional credits and material for your CV - ideal for those looking towards agency representation, auditions, or professional work in the future.

Performances

The Company performs at a range of exciting events, including sporting fixtures, carnivals, local fayres, and dance showcases.  You don’t need to be available for every event - you’ll always have the option to opt in or out. Your place in the Company will not be affected if you can’t attend a specific performance.

Some events may require a financial contribution, which will vary depending on the opportunity. We will confirm details when contacting you about availability, and you can decide whether to participate.
 

Training & Eligibility

You do not need to be a current BSD student to join - dancers from outside the school are welcome. However, we highly recommend enrolling in our ballet, jazz, or contemporary classes to support your continuous training and development.
 

How to Apply

• A 1-minute video of you dancing in the style you feel most comfortable with

 

Our Director, Raquel, will review your submission and invite successful applicants to an interview.

We’re looking for dancers with a positive attitude, professionalism, and adaptability.
